Not every full mouth restoration uses a single fixed arch on four or six implants. For some people in Ambawadi, individual implants that each carry their own crown, or short bridges on implants, are a better fit for their bone and bite.
Dr. Prattik Kkeswani plans this approach when the jaw has good bone at many sites and the patient prefers teeth that are separated like natural ones. Each implant is a titanium post placed in the bone under local anaesthesia, later topped with an abutment and a custom crown. Each new tooth in this plan stands on its own support, much as natural teeth once did. A problem with one crown does not affect the rest of the arch, and cleaning between the teeth feels familiar. The trade-off is that more implant sites are usually needed, so the bone has to be suitable along much of the jaw. That is why the scan and examination come before any recommendation.
The plan begins with a detailed examination and a 3D CBCT scan to map the bone along both jaws. Weak or damaged teeth are removed first where needed, and bone grafting or a sinus lift is added if some areas are too thin. Implants are then placed at the chosen sites. After roughly 3 to 4 months of healing, crowns or small implant bridges are fitted. Temporary teeth are often worn during the healing stage.
Individual implants usually need more implant sites than All-on-4 or All-on-6, and the bone must support that. Treatment can also take a little longer to plan. For the right patient, though, the result looks and feels very close to natural teeth. The crowns are matched to your preferred shade and shape. You can see how single crowns are made on our crowns and bridges page.
